The Wellington-Pbcenix matoh promises to result in a somewhat easy viotory for the older olnb, bnt the Hidland-Bival heat should produoe an interesting finish. PHCENIX V. WILLINGTON. With fonr wioketa down for 48 runs, Holdship (22) and ABhbolt (0) not outs when the matoh was discontinued a month ago, resnmed batting, bat only four ranß were added when ABhbolt retired. K. Gore and Strange made another stand, the hitting of the former player being of a particularly brilliant character, and the fieldsmen had a lively time. Strango was ultimately beaten by Webb, and It. Not a single extra was recorded in the innings, whioh speaks well for Niven's wicketkeepintr.
