CREMATION IN VICTORIA.
The body of a Hindoo, named Simon Singh, was cremated on the foreshore near Bed Bluff, at Sandringham, a few days ago. ' Deceased wat* 30 years of age. and died in the Melbourne Hospital from phthisis. The body was swathed in bandages and plaoed in the centre of about a ton and a half, of wood, and the pile was ignited. - In two hours the cremation .was complete,- and .what remained, of the bones were collected, and will be ' sent to India to '. be thrown into the sacred wafers of the Ganges.
