Ewington, Coaohbailder, Masterton Bankers : National Bank of New Zealand, Limited. Solicitor -. J. Conolly, Esq., Blenheim. Bbokib in Wellington : Viotor M. Brannd. nPHE Promoters have Eeoured from Mr. JL W. J. Cullen, for mitifrig purposes, abont 110 acres, or 3000 running feet down the Mahakipawa Valley, and in width from hill to hill. It is all alluvial ground.'and abutting' on * the lower boundary of the, King Solomoifi Mines Gold Mining Co.'s Mine, Cnllensville, Marlborongh. ' ' -' " - , All neoessary water-rights, privileges, Ao. , or working the ground have been secured. The King Solomon' Mine, now "working; is proving extremely rich in gold> some very large yields having been obtained, in some instances to the extent of lOOoz of gold to the set, equal to 100 ounces per week, with only two men working in the face at each' shift. The adjoining mines to this npon the upper boundary have likewise proved very rich, although working in a very limited way. The promoters have taken the tronblo to ascertain the yields of a few of these adjoining olaimß from authentic reoords, and they are as follows:— - „ Jnat-in-Time ... 800 feet gave 2100 onnoes Long Time ... 800 „ „ 1500 „ " Wairarapa Claim £00 „ „ 2100 „ Downey F a Mistake 100 „ .j , 500 „ LnokyHit ... 250 , 400 Te Ore Ore ... 400 „ „ 700 ' Hibernian ... 600 „ „2350 „ King Solomon ...860 „ „.2605. „ As out of this ground a considerable quantity is still unworked, it will be seen that 4310 ft has prodnoed at least .£49,000 worth of gold. _, , As none of these olaims average more than half-time through want of proper facilities, the richness of the ground can be conjectured. ' ' It is well known 'that the Mahkkipawa - Valley has proved itself —taking into consideration the amount of ground worked— as rioh as any goldfield yet discovered in New Zealand. Out of small ordinary claims .£3OOO per man has been divided, whilafcfrom higher levels above the range, taken in by the accompanying plan, nuggets of one to 30 ounoes have been unearthed. Roughly ' speaking, some £60,000 worth of gold has been taken out of the ground in the immediate neighbourhood of the property seonred by the promoters, and it is confidently i anticipated that the rioh lead met within ' the King Solomon olaim traverses the greater portion of the Mahikapawa, Alluvial Co.'s ground. The gronnd is from 100 to 150 feet deep, requiring pumping gear, for whioh, however, there ia-amplo -water supply available for the purpose. With a drainage shaft sank,. and .work _, earned on upon an extended scale, practical mining experts are of opinion that large alluvial deposits, of great wealth, will be met with. Hi'l'Ms thould hold out every hope of suooees in the undertaking, with proper appliances, and in proof of this, miners who are aoqnainted with the. ground have expressed themselves willing to accept half wages, taking the balance out in shares. The promoters, therefore, have no hesitation in placing the undertaking before the pnblio as a bond fide mining venture, and under good praoboal management snooess appears almost a certainty. So mnoh are they themselves imbned with this impression that they ask no cash in return ior their outlay, being content to aooept what many of the pnblio have considered a comparatively small percentage of Bhares in lien of cash. It is anticipated that not nJbre than onehalf of the capital will be required to bo •ailed np. Plans of the property and forms of application for shores may be obtained from VICTOB K. The promoters expeot that not more than 6s per share (including application and allotment) will be called np before a dividend is declared. First Allotment, 6000. NO PBOMOTEBS' SHAKES. , ' Three thousand two hundred of' the 6000 shares have been subscribed for in the immediate distriot. The remainder are now offered to the public of Wellington. In the opinion of mining experts of acknowledged ability, this is one of the riohest finds in the rioh distriot of Marl, borough. The Wakamarina Goldfield has yielded 53,7740z. of the value of £207,730. (See N Z. Handbook of Mines.) The promoters have the right of mining over 102 acres, situate at CanvaßStown, Pelorus Valley, subject to a royalty of 5 per cent, net, of this rioh district. This area is the bed of an old river, oarrjing the purest gold. The agreements dan be seen on application to the Secretary. Important.— So sanguine are the promoters of the auocess of the Company that they ask for no shares for their interest but what they have subscribed and paid for. Copies of the Prospectus and all information may be obtained 'from the snbsoriber, who is acting on behalf of the. promoters, and who is to be in Wellington for only a few days.
