INSPECTION OF FROZEN MEAT. [PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Melbourne, 28th August.

The Premier has cabled to the AgentGeneral to inform the Imperial Government that all meat sent to England bearing the Victorian Government brand undergoes a strict double inspection— before it ia killed and before it is frozen. There is also supervision over meat sent from New South Wales for shipment, and the Viotorian Government made no oversight, being anxious not to prejudioe Viotonan shipments.- It was intended to ask the New South Wales authorities to adopt a similar mode of inspection with regard to Viotorian meat, so that the closest guarantee can be given British con. sumers. The Premier has also suggested that there should be a uniform system of inspection throughout Australia, and a common brand.
