NARROW ESCAPE OF A TOWN.
« [PBESB ASSOCIATION. | (Reoeived August 26, 11.20 a.m.) Stdnet, This Dat. Fire started in a bakery at Woollongong while a. strong wind was blowing, and destroyed a block containing eleven wooden i shops and houses. It spread aoroßS the street, and threatened to sweep the town, but was checked in time. Thn only water 'available was that supplied by wella.The damage is estimated at £10,000.
