Galliqbib.—On the 23rd Aueuat, 1895, at her son-in-lan's res'dence, Toranakl-Btrcet, Ellen Oallaftber, late of LetterJcennj, Connty Donegal, Ireland, and mother cf John and James Gallagher, of this city; aged 81 years IN MEMORIAM Gctheik.—ln affectionate memory ct Emily Guthrie, these verses ore compiled for her loving mother by a true friend and sympathiser. Ah ! the da; has arrived, and God's angels have come. And borne her awajr to that land, Where, if we fight bravely, and trust in our God, Some diy with onr darling we'llttand. So let us fret not at partinsr, sore trial tho" it be, For our loved one is only above, With her Saviour in Heaven, so happy and free; fie has token her in His ereat love. God of Meroj, lorina; Jesui, may yre in faith light ■ bravely on, Till, when called, our hearts rejoiclngr, we meet again where she has gone.
