GREAT PERFORMANCE BY A NEW ZEALA.NDEB. [fbiss association.] (Received Angust 21, 11 a.m.) Stdnbt, This Dat. Mnhleisen, a New Zealand oyolist, has broken the record from Brisbane to Sydney, wbioh dis&anoe be accomplished in five days 13} hours. The previous record was held by Long and M'Qregor, of Sydney, who three years ago did the distanoe in sis dayß 17 hours. Mnhleiien had a most ardaono journey, as the roads are very bad. For a long distance he had to dismount and oarry his machine. He felt in with a great deal of heavy rain and enow, and had a nasty spill at Wollombi, abont 100 miles from Sydney. He had to do the greater part of tha remain- , der of the distanoe with only one pedal. Bat' ■ for this mishap, and a bnokled wheel, ha ■' would have accomplished the joarney in five days, as he intended. He rodo from Glen Innes, nearlj 400 miles, without Bleep. , — - <
