THE FROZEN MEAT CONFEREN CE.
The Parliamentary Committee, in oonneotion with the Frozen Meat Conference which, is to be held on the 27th, met this morning. Present— Messrs. Buchanan, Stevens,- and Buddo, M.H.R.'s, Messrs. J. D. Ritobie (Stook Department), Nathan (Wellington), and OrbeU (Geraldine). The sub. jeots dißonssed were the combination of frozen meat companies here and distribution in the United Kingdom. The committee adjonrned till 4 p.m. to draw up an " agenda paper" for the Conference. To-morrow, at 2 o'clock, J. H. Bethune and Co. will sell bj auction, at their roonai, Feathenton•treet, a onoice and varied collection of splendid plants, from the old-e>tablithed nursery ol Mr. C. Duncan, Linden Vale, Poriro*. The catalogue include* 100 seleoted roses, rhododendrons, diphneei, azaleas, holliet, and a large assortment of h6dK« plants, coniferto. and fruit trees, as per catalogue. The plants being- acclimatised, andof good varieties, the sale should be well attended.
