The Times says the British troops are temporarily holding the crest of the Malakand Pass, and also the Swat River, in order to secure complete control of tbe country between Chitral and India. The possession of the Lownri Pass will enable England to forestal any intruders. The evacuation of the Jandol Valley is virtually completed.
