Napiee, This Dat. Mr. Hugh Aplin, organist of St. Paul'?, has died of firight's disease. Deoeased w;3 also organist of two Masonic lodges. London, 4th August. The death is announoed of Mr. Joseph Thompson, the African explorer, at the age of 37. [When 20 years old Mr. Thompso) visited Central Africa with the late Keitl Johnston, and assumed command of the expedition on the death of his chief. In lgS*he began his famous journey to Masailand, and reaohed tho north-east oerner of Lake Viotoria Nyanza. He has since made an expedition to Moroooo, in whiah ho orossed the Atlas ohain of mountains in six different Places.] ________________ ,'
