I FRKSS ASSOCIATION. I London, loth May. The Bishop of Salisbury, speaking at the Convocation of Canterbury, Eaid in general the power of religion in the oolonies was much less than in England. It was painful to see the commercial spirit of the clergy, owing to tho poverty of the ohurches. They competed with each other like hotel?. He attributed this to Disestablishment, and considered the re-union of the Church and State wa3 the only thing that could prevent it.
