A Digger Murdered. A REVENGEFUL BLACKFELLOW.
A digger named Anderson, known as " New Zealand Jimmy," ia reported to have been mnrderod by blacks near Siberia, 'Western Australia. It is said Anderson had been living with a block gin for Borne time, and frequent quarrels took plaoe with a blaok man named Jimmy abou e < the possession of the woman. v Reoently , Anderson thrashed the native and burnt his miamia, to drivo him from the looality. At 9 o'clock in the evening Anderson approaohed the tent in whioh .the gin was sleeping, when Jimmy sprang jupon him with a spear. Anderson saw him 'coming and stooped for a stick, but the aboriginal drove tho spear clean throngh his body between his neck and collarbone, the weapon coming out throngh his ribs. (Anderson died at once. Anderson's mate jand the lubra went to Siberia for assistance, and 40 diggers returned to vindicate the murder, but found that the aboriginal had 'looted the oamp and oleared into the bush. The police despatched two constables from Coolgardie in pursuit of the native.
