! PRESS ASSOCIATION.) London, 15th May. The committee moved for by Sir W. V. Harcourt to oonsider the question of Lord Wolmer's succession to th 9 Earldom of Solborne, has been set up. Mr. Chamberlain withdrew an amendment whioh ho proposed for widening the scope of the enquiry.
I SPECIAL. ! London, 14th May. Mr. Chamberlain urged that the appointment of a committee would form an awkward precedent, and make it necessary to enquire into every Buspcotcd peerage. They were unable to force Peers to give evidenoe. Sir Wm. Harcourt rejoined that to avoid complicity, plain evidence of the succession would be required.
