SCENERY PRESERVATION SOCIETY. TO THE EDITOR.
!s:h— ln reply to " No. 24," the Scenery Preservation Society was not in existence until the monstrosities he mentions were all but completed. With regard to the Central Prison, that " horror " will be taokled also, in good time. It was not negleoted at the time of building. A deputation of citizens, of which I had the honour of being one, waited upon Sir Robert Stont to protest against it, but in vain. I am, &c, J.M. Richvbdscm.
