Tho Secretary of s-tate in the United States Government, Mr. Gresham, baa advised Nicaragua to comply with the Britieli demands. Latest. [special.] (Eeooived April 26, 8 a m.) Washington, 25th April. Nicaragua, in abandoning Corinto, desires to prove that Britain is violating the Monroe doctrine. (Received April 26, 10.45 a.m.) Washington, 25th April. It is officially announced that Government has agroed to the British treatment of Nicaragua, and it is explained that the despatch of a warship to Corinto is meant to allay the anxiety of American subjeots.
