(Reooived April 25, 11 a.m.) Calcutta, 24th April. It is reported that Afghan troops arrested Umra Khan, while the Khan of Dir is pursuing Sher Afzul. (Received April 25, 1.20 p.m.) London, 24th April. Reports from Simla atato that the Indian Council is in favonr of subsidising the Chitral tribesmen and enrolling them as military levies ; the fortification of certain points for future shelter ; and che permanent occupation of the Jandol and Bajour districts.
