Tho Orient Company's balance-sheet showa that from the rovenno account the sum of £50,800 bos been oarried to the reserve for depreciation, and .£66,800 written off (this on acconnt of the Chimborazo), besides £8000 cost of insulating steamers. At the British and Australasian Trust and Loan Company's meeting, tho Chairman said it was highly improbable that any oall would be made. ___^____^_____
