CRICKET. WELLINGTON CKICKET. ASSOCIATION.

The annual meeting of the Wellington Crickot Association was held at the Exchange Buildings last night, the President, Mr. H. D. 8011, M.H.R., in the chair. Twenty-one delegates weropresont, and several cricketers also attended. The annnal report and balance-sheet (a summary of which hits already appeared in our columns) was adopted, the Chairman remarking that tho Association had a oredit balance, and that Mr. Cross had carried off three of the trophios presented to tho Association. Werry (re-elootod), D. J. Nathan, C. W. Benbow, and Dr. Collins; Sec, Mr. C. Marter ; Treasurer, Mr. I. Hyams; Auditors, Messrs. S. Waters nnd R. Read (re-elected) ; Messrs. A. T. Bate and C. A. Knapp wero elected to represent the subscribers of the Association ; Senior Championship Committee, Messrs. A. Ashbolt, C. A. Knapp, and S. Niobolls ; Third-class Championship Committee, Mossrs. VV. G. Daaont, J. Bee, and B. A. Meek ; Seloction Committee, Messrs. R. V. Blaoklook, C. A. Knapp, and A. Ashbolt (re-elected." Tho meeting decided to pay j6lO each to tho Seoretaty and Treasurer. Mr. E. Pearoe wrote apologising for his abeence, and he enclosed a donation of three guineas to the funds. The Chairman apologised for Mr. Dnthie's absence. The Blenheim Association wrote asking to have a junior representative match arranged between the two Associations. The matter was referred to the General Committee, as was also the Excelsior Club's application to oompete in the Junior Cup contest, and a letter from the Kilbirnie Club, asking that their pitch may be set aside for Junior Cup purposes. The Amateur Athletic Club wrote notifying the Association that they prop ised to hold their spring and autumn meetings on 24th November, 1894, and 2nd March, 1895 respectively. The letter was referred to the Championship Committee. Mr. Upham read a telegram from the Canterbury Association asking- the local Association to guarantee ¦£300 towards the visit of Stoddart's English team to tho colony. The meeting deoided to offer the English team all the profits of the match. Mr. Harris' application to be appointed permanent scorer was referred to the General Committee. Mr. Brittain 1 acknowledged the compliment, and proposed Mr. C. W. Benbow, sen., »s a life member, • which was carried. A vote of thanks to tho Chairman termi- ; nated the meeting. Mr. C. Cross asked tbe Cricket Association last night to vote in favour of hiving tho personnel of the Senior Championship 'Committee composed of a membor from eaoh •of the four senior clubs and a nominee from tbe Association. The meeting, however, I - did not fall in with his views.
