COMMERCIAL.

Evening Post Office, Monday Afternoon Townsend and Paul report on Saturday's horse market :— A good attendance and fair lot of entries, but hardly of the description in request, viz., active spring dray and express stamps. We sold medium draughts at £11 5s to £14 ; light harness sorts and hocks at £4 10s to £7. There is not much demand for this class at present, but as the season advances they will become more saleable. Heavy draughts are more enquired for, and we could place some at improved rallies on late sales. A. G. Taive a»d Co. report on their weeUy horse Bale on Saturday last :— There was only a ■moll entry of horses, including a few draughts. The attendance of buyers was moderate, but a fair number of horses changed hands. We sold draughts at. £11 10s, and got £5 10s for an aged draught specimen. Hacks sold at £6, and harness horses at £5 to £8. A few weeks' time will moke a considerable diiierence in the demand for hacVs and light harness horses.
