I SPECIAL. I (Received August 28, 2.15 p.m.) London, 27th August. Mr. Glyn aaid the increase in deposits in tho colony amply compensated for the decrease in England. No Bank south of the Eqnator was stronger than the Bank of New Zealand. Mr. Snow proposed that a committee should be appointed to enquire, into the state of the company's assets, and defino the shareholders' position. The Chairman refnsed to accept the motion, on tho ground that it was useless, as the Bank waa practically a Government institution. He did not believe the Government would lose on tho guarantee
