WANGANUI v. MANAWATU. Wanganui, 25th August.
Tho match Manawatu y. Wanganui was Elayod this-afternoon, and it was one of the cat f^mas o£ th© boosod. Tlifl loc»l men had all the Best of tho gamo, but could not score. There was no sooro in tho first spell, although the visitors were forced down throe timos. Towards the end of the second spell tho visitors drew first blood, getting a try under the goal-posts, which was easily convortod. When time was called, Wanganui was dangerously near the visitors' goal, but a well-tried pot failed, and the gamo ended Manawatu, 5 ; Wanganui, nil.
