Best tallow has advanced 3d to 6d. Sheepskins are in good demand at an advance of id. Rupee paper ia quoted at £59 12s 6d per thousand. A cargo of Viotorian wheat, ex Sutlej, sold a 1 24s ; Adelaido ditto, ox Occident, at 24s 3d. The English wheat markot is firmer, the Continental inactive, and the Amerioan changing a little for the better.
The New Zoaland Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited, sands us the following as the latest London markot quotations, corrected by cable message to-day : — Frozen Meats — Mutton market is weaker. Quotations unchanged. The lamb market has been higher since last telegram, bnt has declined again. Cantarbnry mutton, 3|d ; Wellington mutton, 3d ; New Zealand beef, fore-quarters, 31d ; Now Zealand beef, hind-quarters, 4Jd ; lamb, prime New Zealand, per carcase, sd. Tallow— Market firm but irregular. Fine mutton, 26b 3d per cwt ; good beef, 24s 9d. Sheepskins —There is a /air domand. Merino is id and crossbred 4d to id dearer. Wheat— New Zealand average, 24s 3d per 4961b : New Zealand longberried, 25s 9d per 4961b ; New Zealand f.a.q., to arrive, 0.i.f., 22s 6d per 4801b.
