— , * NEW MEAT-THAWING PROCESS. I UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION. I London, 26th August. A forecast of tho butter market published, giving the views of the leading Colonial and Continental importers, is to the effeot that unless shipments are mode early they bad better be reserved until wiuter. Nelson Bros.' patent process for thawing beef was exhibited at Smitbfield to-day, and declared by experts to be superior to all previous mothoda. The Mersey Harbour Board is groatly increasing the facilities for handling woof, and hopes by this means to make Liverpool a centre for the Aiißtralasian wool trade.
