THE PORT MELBOURNE MURDER.
f UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION. Melbourne. 10th July. The coloured man Jordan has been committed for trial on the charge of murdering the woman Hicks. Johnson, who was arrested on suspicion, has been discharged. Brisbane, 10th July. It is believed the Hon. W. H. Wilson, M.L.C., Postmaster-General, will retire from the Government, owing to private business, and the Hon. A. J. Tbynne, M.L.C., will probably take the portfolio.
