ST. PAUL'S CLUB SPORTS.

♦ Tho sooond annual sports of the above club were held on Saturday on the Hutt Racecourse. Tho course was measured and arranged nndfir tho personal supervision of tho Ray. Ohas. Tisdall, and he is to be oongratulated on the result of his labours, as the running was very easy. Mr. D. C. Ingram, the olnb's Seoretary and Treasurer, had his hands full, but discharged his duties efficiently. The events were started by Mr. J. Hempton, tho different fields being got away in first-class style. Tho Club's Handicap, throe distanoos (100, 220. and 440 yds) was won by A. Patriot, M. J. Dodwell beine second. Ingram, 1 10 yds, 2. Ramsay, DQyds; Hirter, 130 yds; Keay, 130 yds also started. Considerable interest was evinced in this contest, and good form was displayed by the competitors. A fine start was effected, Hirfer taking the lead followed by Keay.
