Spurgeon, who has been appointed pastor, was received by thousands, and the welcome extended him was of a most enthusiastic nature. The Trust and Agency Company of Australasia has declared a dividend of 20 per cent , and a bonus of 2J per cent The sum of -630,000 has been added to the Reserve Fund. The Lord Mayor of London, the Right Hon. G. W. Tyler, hopes that tho colonial Mayors will commemorate St. George's Day on 23rd April by a banquet, and help to make the celebration universal throughout I the Empire.
