THE KARORI ROAD. TO THE EDITOR.

Sir— ln reference to the accident at Baker's Hill, Karori-road, whereby Miss Henry was severely injured and others in great risk of being bo, the oauae should have been remedied long ago. I believe Miss Graham was doing her level beat, with a skittish horse before her, to keep from the nnfenced precipice on her left. If the road had been fonoed the driver would with greater confidence keep the middle of the road instead of going dangerously near the bank. The road on the other side of Baker's Hill— tho new road— is very nearly as dangerous, as the femce is not fit to stand the pressure of a calf. Though nearly new, one =ido of the road will soon be fenceless. One of the Karori Councillors was precipitated, with lady, horse, and trap, some time back, over a bank about 40 feet high near Baker's Hill. I suppose those whose duty it is to make the dangerous places safe are waiting for the Mayor. I am, etc., K. G. Knight. Baker's Hill, Karori-road, 11th April.
