♦ A Government parade of the Guards wat held last evening, the inspecting • officei being Lieut.-Col. Newall. There was a muster of 38. Capt. Paterson was in command, and Lieut. Dnthie was also present, A very minute examination of arms, accoutrements, and uniforms was made by Lieut.Col. Newall, after whioh the men were put through skirmishing and company drill foi about an honr The representative of Kynoch and Co. hae presented a quantity of ammunition to the Guards.
