Councillors Jillott and Majendie reported' .that they had arranged with Mr. Fnttcr that he should surrender Collett's-road on payment of a snm of .£5O. The Clerk was instructed to write to the Colonial Secretary for a supply of statute*, and to ask that the Fencing Act should be brought into force within the County. Mr. Knigge wrote asking the Council to levy a rate for tho purpose of repairing the Silverstroam breakwater, and stating that he would hold tho Council responsible for any damage dono his property by the river coming through tho breakwater. Mr. Kniggo's offer to pay the interest for a term of fivo years on a sum not to exceed £500 was accepted. Councillor Field wua authorised to arrange terms for fencing the County road between Paraparaumu and Otaihanga. Tho Hoad Inspector was instructed to t repair the road below the railway bridge at •Silvorstroam. Accounts amounting to JJ572 wore passed for paymont. „. „ Tho Road Inspector and Councillor Field were authorised to call 1 for tenders for such work as might be necessary to make Amohia-street, Paraparaumu, fit for cart 'traffic, at a oost not to exceed £68. NOTICJSS^OF MOTION. Councillor Field gave notice to in'ove that tenders s be called to make the Connty road passable from the eastern end of Tainuiatreofc, Paraparaumu, to Otaihanga, subject to the question of dedication of r,oads. Councillor Bradey gave notice to move that from the Ist January, 1895, all owners of dogs within the Hntt County be required to register the same at the Hutt County Office, and pay all feos due thereon to the County Clerk. This was all tho business.
