Tho Maoris of the district havo mado groat preparaiious for their reception, haviucr built a whare four chains long for a dining hall, throe whares two chains long as' sleeping house?, end a, large assembly hall, besides a handsomely carved house for tho chiefs. A gieat stock of provisions has been laid iv, and will bo needed, as the visitors express their intention of remaining bix weeks. The opening of the Parliament to-day will be of a very formal oharaotor, as tho loading chiofs will be in towu waiting on the Premier, but on Monday tho proceedings will be attended with great ceremony.
