WELLINGTON FOOTBALL ASSOCIATION. The delegates present at the annual meeting of the "Wellington Football Association last evening were : — Messrs. A. Henderson. M. Fraser, and S. Richardson (Rover.*), T. Shields, W. Muir, and M. Clark (Queen's Park), N. Bell. W. 11. Stewart, and U. Gamble (United) — Mr. C. H. Izard, one of the Vice-Presidents, in the chair. The report and balance-shoot were adopted. The election of officers resulted as follows : —President, Dr A. X Newman, M.H.R. ; Vice-PreHii-Sacta, llessra. W Forsyth, A. E. Gibbs, D. R. Caldwoll, J. W. Abbott, C. H. Izard, C. L Gardiner, and Dr. Gillon (re-elected), and A. de B. i'.randon; Secretary and Treasurer, Mr A. Henderson (re-elected) ; Delegate to the Now Zealand Association, Mr. Wm. Muir. Messrs. Gamble, Shields, and Mnir were appointed a committee to make inquiring as to an additional praotioe ground, and it was decided to devote special attention to second eleven matches thi3 soasou. • ______ WELLINGTON RUGBY UNION. _ The Management Committee of the Wellington Rugby Union met last evening, Mr. E. Davy in the chair. s A letter was read from Messrs. Bannatyne and Co., agreeing to the suggestion of the Committee that the conditions in connection with the Juno t-cphy should be altered so as to provide that it must be won three times in suocesaion ov four at intervals. The Secretary (Mr U. i). Morpeth) was directed to inform the Canterbury Union that a date for the annual match could not be fixed just nt present. Tbe colours of the Oriental Clnb (black and white hoops) were registered. It waa decided that 400 copies of the Annnal should be printed by Brown, Thomson, & Co., at 7Jd per copy. Messrs. E. Devy, G. Faohe, and J. Gamble were fleeted members of the Senior Match Committee, and Messrs. M. Hodgins, I. Hyams, and E. Liddle members of the Junior Match Committed. Messrs. J. Dnthie, M.H.R., and Mr. J. P. Firth were elected trustess of the Union's shares in the Athletic Park Company. The Petone grounds allotted for next Saturday are as follows : — No. 1, Wellington first v. Melrose first ; No. 2, Athletio Club ; No. 3. We'lington second v. Wellington College ; No. 4, Selwyns v. Orientals; No. 6, Selwyn second v. Wellington third. A 10 years' lease of a large building in Era-street, off Dizon-street, has been secured by the Poneke Clnb for the purposes of a gymnasium. Mr. F. Flower has been elected captain of the Wellington Clubs Bccoad fifteen, and he and Messrs. A. M. Stuart and R. Pownall will form tbe Match Committee for the team. A general meeting of the Athletic clnb is to be held to-morrow evening.
