About 150 settlers of the Forty-mile Bush are petitioning the Eailway Commissioners for the delay of the early morning train or the running of a market train on Wednesdays (stock sale days). The Masterton Borough Coonoil ia to be asked to procure an engineer's report on the encroachment of the Waipona river, which is said to bo plating the town in danger.
