MAYORAL ELECTIONS.
The following- local Dominations were made to-day :— Wellington— Alfred de Bathe Brandon, nominated by William MTntoshMuir and John Maginnity ; Charles Frederiok Worth, nominated by Charles Plimmer and John Gallagher. The election takes place on Wednesday, the 29th. Melrose— Mr. Bobt. Mowatt has been elected unopposed as Mayor of the Borough of Melrose. He was nominated by Messrs. J. Collins and W. Kerehnw. IBt Temeqrafh. , (Our Own Correipondenis.) Gueymouth. This Dat. Mr. John David Heagerty has been elected Mayor nnopposed. Cabtbeton, This Dat. Mr. G. W. Deller has been re-elected Mayor of Carterton, unopposed. I UNITED PKESS ASSOCIATION. J Fjiildino, 20th November. Messrs. W. Carthew and E. Goodbehere have been nominated for the Mayoralty. Auckland, 20th November. Mr. J. J. Holland, bnilder, has been returned unopposed as Mayor of Auckland; Mr. Thomas English as Mayor of Newton ; and Mr. John M'Cabe as Mayor of Parnell. Nilson, 20th November. Mr. Trask has been rp-elected Mayor of Nelson nnopposed. Dunedin, This Dat. Miss Harriet Morrison wonld have been nominated for the city Mayoralty if her name had been on the roll.
