At a meeting of the University Counoil, on the motion of Miss Edger, ' Professor Aldis* engagement was extended for six months, Sir Maurice O'Rorko being the only dissentient. Dr. M'Keliar declined to vote. This Day. At the inquest in regard to tho fire on tho premises of tho Sydenham Tailoring Company, Queen-street, an open verdict was retnrned, there being no evidence to show the cause of the fire.
