[ ♦ l The Diggers' News, a South African ■ paper, says that a man named Gleei sun, who was a sergeant in the British i Army during the Indian Mutiny, and [ who died last December, confessed to ' his son-in-law, Huge?, at Pretoria ; (Transvaal), that he murdered the > King of Oude, aud, with two others, stole the Crown jewels, and buried ' t them The two other looters were . killed during the war. The day after ) trio looting the 32nd Regiment was t ordered away, and the town was i handed back to tho enemy ; bo there i was no time to secure the jewels. E Since Gleoson's death, Huges has I been communicating with the Indian Government, through the editor of an • Indian journal, and, as all the facts : aud descriptions coincide, Huges will Wye shortly for India to show the ■ 6pot where the treasure is buried , near the battlo-field. One diamond i in the crown is supposed to ■be the 1 ft-lluw stone to the famous Koh-i-Noor.
