FROZEN MEAT TRADE.
PROPOSED EXTENSION TO THE CONTINENT. I UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION, j (Received July 29, 11.30 a.m. London, 28th July. Mr. J. H. Geddes, Manager of the Pastoral Financial Association of New South Wales, has rotumed from exhaustive researches as to tho prospoots of extending the range of the Australian export trade on the Continent, especially with regard to frozen meat Ho states that Herr Engolhardt. tho Commissary-General in Berliu, evino-s great interest in tho matter. Hamburg and Bremen wero visited, and arrangements made to form a Gorman company to develop the Australian produce trade. The Army officials in Brussels are favourably disposed towards tho trade, and ask that sample 3of meat be sent to them. Tho Minister for War in Franco welcomed him in the most corteons manner. Mr. Geddes had a long interview with General Re Lambre, President of the special Commission for provisioning tho army. He Btatcs that tho interviow is likely to load to a French company opening in Australia to execute eittnaivo Army contracts in meat. Mr. Goddes advocates that accredited Government representatives be appointed to all tho European capitals- to afford information on the products of tho colonies. He is arranging with a London Dock Company to erect refrigerating stores in the vicinity of the meat market.
