At a meeting of seamen, trimmers, and ' firemen, convened to-night by the Trades and Labour Counoil to consider tho pro- ' visions of tho Shipping and Seamen's Bill, considerable discussion took place, but tho : soamen present abstained from speaking. Mr. Henderson, local manager of tho Union ' Steam Ship Company, criticised several ' features of the Bill.
