FOOTBALL.
A match will be played at Newtown tomorrow between tho St. John's and Tradesmen's Clubs. — Tradesmen — Rash, Hedges, Slinn, Nixon, Campbell (3), Harris, Worth, Whitworth (2), O'Connoll, Road, Johnson, Donald ; emergencies, Bernaftconi, Quirk. St. John's — Driscoll, Speed, Moffat, Hooper, Lanham, Stevens, Whiteford (2), Hannay, Billman, Willstead. Tasker, Herbert, Duff, Clayton, Drnmmond, Waters, and Stanford. Play commences at 2.30. The Drapers' City Club will hold a practioe at Newtown to-morrow afternoon. All members are expected to attend prior to picking the team for Wodneaday week. The following will represent tho Kirkcaldie & Stains and'Thorndon House Club in the retnrn match against a combined Association team : — Watt, Darby, Stick, Holder, Waliace, Dawaon, Roberts, Lambert, Kohn, Gibson, Hooper. Play commences at 2.45, at Hobson-street. The Wellington Club has arranged to send a team to play against the Union and Marlborough Clubs in Blenheim on tbe 4th and sth prox. Teams representing 1 the footballers of Goddard, Lamb, * Co. and J. &, W. Staples played a match, the StaDlea team being defeated by aix points to lovo.
