He gave a straightforward explanation of bin connection with the Umutoaroa Block, nrd evidently carried the audienep almost unanimously with him. Mr Cadmanhadnn attentive hearing, except for what was an apparently deliberate disturbam.o by some few jiititos. At the instance of Mr. Cadman's committee, a vote of thanks was proposed and carried amidst cheers. Much amusement was eansed by the presentation of two dozen written questions, every ono of which had been answered in tho courso of the speech. The audience pronounced so vcry-emphatieally. It was very evident that Mr. Cadman had I large snpport, and the hopes of his party have gone np considerably.
