The Auckland Ministers' Association is urging the Minister for Justice to cause an enquiry to be held into the whole matter of the recent fatal prize-fight, with a viow, if possible, to preventing tho recurrence of such a failure of justice in fntnre. The intention is to get to Chicago if possible, and then go to England, to give exhibitions at the Imperial Institute. H.M.S. Katoomba left Auckland at noon to-day for Samoa, in consequence of the rumours of impending war there Chbistchueoh, Bth July. By the Hauroto about 40 Border Leicester and Shropshire Down evos- and rams, from Mr. John Grigg's Longbeaoh estate, were sent to Sydney. Gbetmouth, Bth July. Groat agitation is now going on in this district to induco tho Government to construct five miles of railway from Greymonth to the Coal Creek coal mines. A large public meeting, held at Cobden last night, passed a resolution urging tho Government to immediately authorise' the work. A monster meeting will be held in Greymonth on Monday night for the same purpose.
