Sir Matthew Davies, who has arrived here en route to Melbourne, is far from well. He Bays he never had nny intention of going bejond Colombo, and ia quite prepared to meet the charge oil which ho stands committed for trial. He contends that if the Mercantile Bank directors are prosecuted there should be a prosecution of the directors of all the suspended banks.
