At tho hearing of tho petition for the winding-up of the Aus ralian Joint Stock Bank, Mr. Cozens Hardy pleai-cd that a compulsory order would do harm to tho bank. Ho was satisfied that the law of New , South Wales was binding upon the English section of the bank. Judge Williams directed , that tho English Act gave control over the banks doing businoss in England.
