DESTRUCTIVE FIRE AT ST. JOHN'S, N.B.
? PUBLIC BUILDINGS DESTROYED. THE WHOLE CITY ENDANGERED. 'united tress association.! Ottawa, 9th July. A large fire is raging in St. John's, New Brunswick. The Government offices, Roman Catholic, Methodist, and other Protostant Churches, the colleges, the Masonic Temple, and hundreds of factories and houses havo gone. Tho Parliament Buildings and Government Houao are threatened — in fait the wholo city is endangered. Three thousand people have been rondercd homeless.
