ACCIDENTS A FATALITIES.

IBr Tbliobaph.i [UNITKD PRBB9 ASSOCIATION. I Dunkdin, 14th April. A fatal accident occurred at the Taieri mouth to-day. A man named William Campbell was making for the Taieri beach in a small boat \n visit his mother. The boat was seen off an island at the month at 1 o'clock, and about 3 o'clock it drifted in upßide down ,and tho oars and Campbell's hat were picked up on the beach. A boat's orew was sent off to search the island, as Campbell waa known to bo a fino swimmor, but they wore unable to find any trace of him. CIIRIBTCHUBCH, THIS DAT. An elderly woman, named Eliiabeth Alexander, died suddenly on Thursday. At the inquest a verdict of Death from Natural Cauaos waa roturned. A man named Franoia Burt was found lying in the road opposite hia dwelling yesterday morning. He was carried into the houso, but diet! later on. A man named Joseph William Desmond died suddenly at Sydenham yesterday under such oirouinstanoss aa to make an inquest nocoßsary. At the inquest on Franoia Burt, a verdict of Death from Synoope of the Heart, accelerated by exposure, waa returned. Wm. Deßinond also died from failure of the heart's action.
