BANK DIVIDENDS.

COLONIAL BANK OF NEW ZEALAND. BANK OF AUSTRALASIA. I UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION. 1 Dunedin. llth March. The half-yearly report of the directors of the Colonial Bank states tbat the net profits for the half year, after providing for evorvthing, amounted to .£17,677, to which has to be added .£7230 3s 8d balance from last half year. From this has to be deducted .£2190 13s lOd, tax on note circulation and property tax, leaving available .£22,716 9b lOd. The directors recommend a dividend at the rate of 7 per cent, per annum on the paid-up capital, absorbing .£14,000, and carrying forward the balance ot .£8716 9s lOd. London, 10th March. The Bank of Australasia has declared a dividend of 12 J per cent., and carried forward to the reserve fund.
