TASMANIAN EXHIBITION.

OPENING CEEEMONY. (UNITXD PRKBB ASSOCIATION.] Launcsston, 25th November. The Exhibition was opened to-day by tho Governor of Tasmania. Tho ceremony, which was marked with great pomp, was witnessed by 4000 people. The Governor of Victoria was among those present. There is a splendid display at the Exhibition, bat Victoria is backward. Twelve thousand people visited the Exhibition during the afternoon.

The members of St. Mark's Young Men's Society Gymnasium Club will give an entertainment in the Christy Minstrel form at the schoolroom this evening in aid of tho club's funds. An attractive programme of minstrelsy has been drawn up, and an enjoyable evening should result.
