At a meeting of tb» Shop Assistants' Union, the Shop Hours Bill wai disonssod. Several amendments were suggested. Funds are to bo sent to the Auckland members to assist to defray tho expenses of getting tno Bill passed through. A vote of thanks was accorded to Mr. Joycs, M.H.R., for his exertions hi tho early closing movemont. A resolution was. passed approving the policy of the Government in tho introduction of tho Labour Bills, and asking the Government to pass tho Shop Hours Bill this session.
