A TELEPHONE COMPLAINT.

TO THE KDITOK. Sin— That your ably-written loader anent our tolophono rates has been ho quickly effective, must not only prove immensely beneficial to subscribers and the public generally, but it will also be extremely gratifying to yourself. I would now draw your attention to nn imposition in connection with tolophonic communication, which, though not perhaps often brought homo to the majority of subscribers, is one of the most glaring injustices in the whole system. I allude to tho coat of communication with tlio suburban bureau. As a case in point I cito otir own experience, it is this : Tho gentleman for whom I am now manager is a subscriber tothotunoof .£l2 per annum, and yet ho cannot send mo instructions from the bureau at Wadostown, nor can I communicate with any ontsido station, under a charge of Od for each message. It will readily bo seen by you that this is a most outrageous charge, and I feol sure it only requires exposure to bo abolished or substantially reduced. As no effusions from amateur scribblers can have the weight of articles appearing under tho "togis" of tho Editor himself, I would suggest, with all deference, of course, that, if you think the matter worth attention, a few lines from your chair bo devoted to it, and feel convinced they would be followed by the removal of this extravagant overcharge. I am, &c., . 513.
