MARRIAGE OF MR. W. T. LOCKE TRAVERS.
Tho marriage of Mr. W. T. Locke Traverfl with Mies Theodosia Leslie Barolay, eldest daughter of Mr. William Malo de Btme Barclay, of Wellington, late a Captain in Her Majesty's 24th Foot, and granddaughter of the late Sir David William Barclay, Bart, was solemnised this morning at St. Jester's Church, the sorvioe being performed by the EeT. W. C. Waterß. The bride was given away by her father, and Captain Beamish, late of Her Majesty's 14th foot, was best man. Tho bride was dressed in a long trained gown of ivory-white satin merreilleux, beautifully trimmod with Maltese lace and orange blossoms, and a tulle veil, riohly embroidered with flowers in floss silk, fastened with & pearl star. The only other ornaments thai she wore were a gold oollar and pendant, with bracelets to match, the gift of the bridegroom. Her bouquet was large and handsome, and formed of ohoice flowers, presented by Mr. Mason of the Taita. Tho six bridesmaids were the Missea Constanoe and Ethel Barolay, Maude, Isabel, and Ida Coleridge, and Alice Travers (relatives of the bride and bridegroom), all of whom wore embroidered white muslin gowns, with heliotrope sashes and ribbons. Each of thorn carried a beautiful bouqnot, and wore a broooh, the gift of the bridegroom. Mrs. Barclay, the mother of the bride, wore a navy-blue oostume and bonnet to match ; Mrs. Coleridge, daughter of Mr. Travers, a grey silk dress, handsomely trimmed with velvet, and bonnet; Mrs. Henry Travera, daughter-in-law to Mr. Travers, a pretty gown and hat. After the oeromony the party partook of luncheon at the residence of Captain Barolay, and in the afternoon Mr. and Mrs. Travers left for a short visit to the Southern Lake distriot. Owing to the recent death of General Barclay, unole of the bride, the wedding was quite private.
