Evidenoa was given that if submitted to auction the property would realise nothing like the present rental of £1 per aore. eventually the assessment value was reduoed from £10 to £1 per aore. Livingstone and party are prospeoting a olaim in virgin ground on Arnold's Mat. Thoy have gone a hundred feet deep, wet, and no gold, and were assessed at £900. Thoy had their valuation reduoed to .4515. The party paid £43 rent to Grovefnnient before oommenoing to prospect, though the Warden recommended that power be given 1 to rent free in the first year.
